Following his fiery speech at the U.N., Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sits down with Greta Van Susteren. Tune in to “On The Record” Friday at 7p ET.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his dismay over the Iran nuclear deal in an address to the U.N. General Assembly this afternoon.
He argued that the agreement treats Iran like a normal country, even though it “remains a dark theocracy.”
“The best intentions don’t prevent the worst outcomes,” he said, criticizing the U.N. for its silence on Iran’s threat’s against the Jewish state.
“Throughout our history, the Jewish people have learned the heavy price of silence. Those days are over,” he said, warning Iran that its plans to destroy Israel “will fail.”
He vowed that Israel will be “watching closely” as the United Nations enforces the agreement, noting that Tehran has violated six previous Security Council resolutions.
But he said that no matter what decisions are made at the U.N. and by governments around the world, Israel “will do whatever it must do to defend our state and our people.”
Watch his address above and tune in to “On The Record” at 7p ET tomorrow to see Greta’s must-see interview with Netanyahu.
