The future must not belong

to those who slander the prophet of Islam.

Yet to be credible, those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see when the image of Jesus Christ is desecrated, churches are destroyed, or the Holocaust is denied. Let us condemn incitement against Sufi Muslims, and Shiite pilgrims. It is time to heed the words of Gandhi: “Intolerance is itself a form of violence and an obstacle to the growth of a true democratic spirit.” Together, we must work towards a world where we are strengthened by our differences, and not defined by them. That is what America embodies, and that is the vision we will support.

  1. Let’s say this (if you will excuse the PC) in a different way.
“We do NOT condemn ALL Muslims. We DO condemn the violence and slaughter of people in the name of Islam. We do condemn FORCING people to accept Islam.

We would say the same thing if the Irish, English or Australians were practicing the same violence in the name of ANY cause or religion.

      1. I was on a Christian site a few days ago. Sometimes I get into hot water with them because I have made exhaustive research on as much information as I could get about the Life Of Jesus because there is so much left out about Him. Long story short…
There was a Muslim on the site. He knew the same information I spent years trying to find about the years … the “hidden years” between the ages of 12 to about 30 when he started his ministry.

He was respectful, polite and gracious which really shocked the dickin’s outta me. He never went into a temper tantrum threatening people, etc.
He also condemned the slaughter of Christians just “because they were Christians.”

          1. I do have good thoughts of “that specific one”…but it does’t change my mind about the majority of them…..
