Have you heard the news? The U.S. Navy announced its choice ofOperation Gratitude as its 2011 Spirit of Hope Award honoree.
The Spirit of Hope Award began in 1997 by the Wiegand Foundation, Inc. in honor
of actor and comedian Bob Hope, who was known and beloved for his humanitarian work and involvement with U.S. Armed Forces. Every year the award is given to distinguished Americans and organizations whose patriotism, selflessness and commitment to the troops reflects that of the late Bob Hope.
