It was common practice at the end of an internal audit assignment, for the audit client management (to whom we would have contributed in increasing organizational controls awareness and provided value added service to enhance existing controls ) , to invite the visiting audit team, to a farewell and appreciation dinner.
It was at one of these appreciation dinners when a director asked what I thought of Christianity. He described how he had been schooled in the USA and had obtained his Ph.D from a famous university there. He was a top socialite in the U.S. having had high level influential dancing partners because he loved to dance and was then a multi-millionaire – but there was a longing in his soul.
